Since 2002, the budget for the UN has almost doubled in size… Indicating, an obvious rise in global conflicts that require a substantial increase in humanitarian deployments (support from the international community).
I feel like the more demand and strain that is applied onto this intergovernmental organization will only result in the eventual collapse of its agenda.
The UN is trying to survive even after so many failed missions…
In-order to promote international cooperation after World War II, an ‘intergovernmental organization’ dubbed the United Nations was created. It would be called the UN, think of it just like a body…
Made up of a series of organs…
The five ‘principle organs’ are: General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council(ECOSOC), Secretariat, and the International Court of Justice. There was another organ, but in 1994 it dissolved.
There are also several other ‘specialized agencies‘ or appendages which are now written into the UN Charter… Some pretty recognizable acronyms like IMF, WHO, WTO, IAEA, UNHCR, UNESCO…
It will cost the World $ 5,152 billion dollars in-order for this body to function in 2013. It will cost same amount in 2014 and for 2015.
$ 1,133 billion dollars a year will come from America, or 22% of the funding.
That’s by-far the most substantial contribution by any single state. It sounds like a conflict of interest to me. Maybe the beginning of a New World Order?
Conspiracy theories aside… The UN has 1 Big-dog in the house (paying for 1/4) with 194 members tagging along. Is it about international cooperation and having ‘bodies’ in-place, ready to help helpless people? Or something else?
So, It’s not surprising that the UN Headquarters is located in Manhattan.

10.8% from Japan
7.1% from Germany
5.6% from France
5.2% from the U.K.
5.1% from China
4.4% from Italy
3.0% from Canada
3.0% from Spain
2.9% from Brazil
2.4% from Russia
2.1% from Australia
2.0% from South Korea
1.8% from Mexico
1.7% from Netherlands
1.3% from Turkey
1.1% from Switzerland
18.4% from Other member states
